Neverwinter‘s Tomb Of Annihilation module is just a bit over two weeks away. With its release looming on the horizon, the development team is offering players a peek at the new epic level dungeon that will arrive with the update. Titled Tomb of the Nine Gods, the dungeon takes players deep into the jungles of Chult where they will find an entrance to the secret resting place of the Nine Trickster Gods of Omu. The dungeon was designed by the archlich Acererak as a trap for those brave enough to attempt exploring it.

Tomb of the Nine Gods is designed to require a high level of coordination from groups that attempt to take it on. This cooperation isn’t just for the bosses either, but also for getting around the traps that make up a large portion of the dungeon. Before players can take on this particular dungeon, they will need to have completed “Blessing of Ubtao” — a task from the Jungles of Chult campaign, and have an item level of 12,000 or more.

If you’d like a look at how the dungeon was created, Staff Environment Artist Patrick Poage has posted an interesting “behind the scenes”. Be careful clicking that link, though. The post can be considered to have spoilers.
