Look at that. It’s June. We know what that means, it’s Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis launch month. We’ve known this for a while, but we didn’t know the exact day. But! Now we do. And good thing too, as we have only have 8 days.

That’s right. NGS will launch Wednesday June 9.

Of course, there will be campaigns to celebrate the launch of the game. But, what those will be has yet to be announced. In fact, a tweet on the PSO2 account simply states that they’ll be holding some.

If you’re wondering if this means anything for classic PSO2, it does. Don’t worry, it’s nothing too major. Maintenance has been pushed back and some changes have been made to the dates in The Road to New Genesis event.

If you’re curious as to what you’re in for at launch, Sega recently hosted another stream where they detailed not only what new content will launch with the game, but also outlined their plans for the rest of the year. All the details from the stream can be found in this post.

    • Don’t despair, on my old PC I managed to run Fallout 4 on launch, although it didn’t run too well. And GTA 5 after some years of updates and optimization would run really nice on lowest graphic settings. Since it’s free you can always try it out.

      • I’ll try but I ain’t hoping to run it, I fell far behind in the benchmark at minimum graphics so being realistic is more likely than not than I won’t be able to play it. Sucks but what can you do.

      • I mean, you also have to take in consideration that the benchmark doesn’t account for player density and skill spams, and the game has instances of 30+ players at the same location at once.
