V Rising Hits 80K Players

The brand-new IP from Stunlock Studios, V Rising, is performing better than even the developers could have expected. For those who may not have heard, V Rising is a gothic vampire survival game with building and customization in an open world setting. Yeah, it's a lot. The game has only been in early access for seven days now and has already hit 80,000 players and sold 1,000,000 copies. Right now on Twitch, V Rising is currently the number 10 most watched game on the platform with 30,000 people watching live.

V Rising seems to have risen from the crypt almost overnight as more and more people are falling prey to the multi-genre game. The community manager for Stunlock, Jeremy Fielding, mentioned that they “started to get a lot of attention when [they] went into closed beta.” Now, with the game in Early Access and open to all, everyone is joining in on the hype.

The unique concept of a dark fantasy vampire survival RPG alone is enough to get people to try the game, couple that with a relatively low cost and relatively few bugs despite the Early Access and it’s hard to think of a reason not to play the game. Fielding also addresses the important topic of continuing to take V Rising forward by listening to the community and their wants.

“We know that there are a million base systems in the game that can all expand in infinite directions,” Fielding began. “We’re leaving it a little bit open as we see how people interact with our systems because players will do anything. Especially if you give them an open world game, how they play will always be different than what you expect. So we’re planning to adapt to that.” The fact that it has only been one week since their Early Access launch and they are already addressing possible ways to improve is a great indicator of the dedication and love that is going into the game. With everyone now watching V Rising, the pressure is on to continue to grow and meet expectations.

There was no real hype to this game, we knew of it and it mellowed its eraly access release pretty nicely.
V-Rising is not a rush game, its easy to hardcore, its difficult, its building vast castles, farming, collecting and exploring, all these things make easy work 'the second time' around and so on, there is no grind, as the grind is up to you. You can stay base building but you need to get at least three 1st boss's to get a good home going. Horses are abundant, I have 24 scattered at home and all over the map, I have two castles and i am sure i can build more. My only niggle to DEVS is movement, They used their OLD system that may of worked for there Battle Royale game which I did hear about but the BR put me right off, V-Rising is a more complex game than Battle Royale and PC players like to move with the mouse.which makes this a frustrating unchangeable(currently) action. Its of course deeply endured to play the game and you do sort of get used to it (sort of) DEVS: option to change please would be nice. I do mind spinning around but you can not direct a perfect hit this way..
Overall a fantastic game and well done devs we really needed this breakaway .:) my number one game. I do believe its better than Elden Ring. if it had this ..Wow lol
