Overwatch 2 Brings Back Dating Simulator Loverwatch (But Only In China)
Players elsewhere are jealous of the new romanceable heroes and cool skins.

Blizzard has launched a new iteration of its Overwatch 2 dating simulator, “Loverwatch,” but only in China.
Unlike the original 2023 version — which just featured romance options for Genji and Mercy — this new version expands to include characters like D.Va, Cassidy, Junker Queen, Mauga, Lifeweaver, and Genji.
Fans of the free-to-play shooter outside China have expressed disappointment over being excluded from the event, particularly due to the exclusive in-game skins and potential cosmetic rewards that might not be released globally. The visual designs, such as Junker Queen’s and Genji’s new outfits, have generated excitement, but many worry these looks will remain regional exclusives.
That being said, the original Loverwatch's Cupid Hanzo skin was later made available globally, so there’s a chance there’s no need to worry. Still, players are riled because these are some real eye-catching skins. Look at Junker Queen’s glam makeover, and Genji's sleek new look. It's easy to understand why the community feels “robbed” of content they’d eagerly pay or grind for.
