Nexon Reveals New Isometric Dark Fantasy MMORPG, Embers Of The Uncrowned
Complete with a gory cinematic that offers a look into the world.

I was just thinking earlier today, after receiving an announcement about a new cozy game, that devs really seem to be leaning into those lately. But if Nexon’s latest reveal is anything to go by, not everyone is. In fact, the devs behind the company’s new isometric dark fantasy MMORPG are leaning in the other direction.
As with most MMOs, the game focuses on a hero’s journey. In this case, the hero is working to rebuild a noble house previously destroyed by the elves and reclaim the lands they stole. If the trailer below is anything to go by, that’s going to be a difficult task. The elves seem pretty powerful. Or, at least this elf does.
The game will feature tactical combat, requiring players to recruit companions to help them out. During the journey, they’ll pick up different classes named things like “Spectral Blade”, “Executioner”, and “Stormbringer”. We know the last is a magic class. The first is apparently a faster-moving class, likely your DPS. And as Executioner is described as “crushing”, that’s probably your tank. Or something along those lines.
The game also features co-op battles in which players fight to reclaim land, as well as raid. There’s a settlement feature as well, which makes sense, as the point of the game is to reclaim the land the elves took. As the game progresses, players will develop their territory, eventually building a city.
As mentioned above, a trailer for the game dropped today. It’s purely cinematic and sets the scene for the game’s story. Seeing the game in action will come later. It's also worth noting that we haven't been informed on the monetization, but as it's a Nexon MMO, it's a pretty safe bet it's free-to-play.
