Pearl Abyss Donates $70K To Doctors Without Borders With Help Of Black Desert Players
Players assisted by completing specific quests and donating items via in-game currency.
For the sixth year in a row, Black Desert Online developer Pearl Abyss has made a significant donation to Doctors Without Borders. The MMORPG developer announced today that with the aid of the Black Desert and Black Desert Mobile players, it donated 100 million KRW or around $70,000 USD to the humanitarian organization.
Players assisted in the charity effort by doing what players do best: playing the games, completing specific quests, and purchasing donation items with in-game currency. Each of the games contributed approximately half of the total donation value which will be used to provide medical services in Nigeria. These services include home treatment kits for Noma patients, creating cholera treatment centers, providing food to combat malnutrition, and offering health care services in areas that need them.
