Perfect World Games To Take Over Publishing Of Tower Of Fantasy
Players will have to authorize the transfer of their account data before the transfer happens.
In February, Tower of Fantasy will be transferred to a new publisher. Perfect World Games announced the transition earlier this week, stating that “after a thorough negotiation”, Level Infinite will be transferring the MMORPG’s operation to Hotta Studio’s parent company Perfect World Games on February 23, 2025.
Because this transfer means giving control of player data to a new company, players will need to consent to having their data transferred from their Level Infinite account to a Perfect World account. Data transfer authorization opens today and requires players to bind their accounts together via the “Tower of Fantasy Account Transfer and Authorization Verification” page. For those wondering, the data in question includes character, event, friend, home, guild, mail, and item data among other things. Players have until April 24, 2025, to complete the transfer.
To encourage players to complete the form, Perfect World is offering players a special transfer gift pack. The pack will be awarded when the servers open on February 25.
