Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Head Line Stream Teases Level Cap Increase, Content, And A Mag Jukebox
Nadereh’s concert has arrived.
On February 9, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis players are getting a big update with a bunch of new content. Included in said update is a new story quest that will introduce Nedereh’s concert to the game. In the quest, players will be invited to the concert. Of course, as is always the case with PSO2, the concert will continue to exist, offering players boosts in the form of a +10% XP, Meseta Earned, and rare drop rate. The concert will take place in Retem City. But, if you can’t make it there in time, it will also be aired on the big screen in Central City. Those in attendance in either city will receive the buffs.
The update also introduces a level cap raise and new high-rank sectors. The level cap increase is to 40, while the new high-rank sectors offer players a chance to obtain arm refiners that will allow them to enhance equipment to +50 and unlock a fifth augment slot. Included in the new high-rank sectors is a Rank 3 Mt. Magnus. This sector will feature an increased number of chaos trials, including a new type – chaos trials that are combined boss trials. Speaking of, players will also encounter a new enemy type, the Megalotix. This will be an appealing creature to fight as it drops a lot of N-Meseta and arms refiners. As for other areas with an increased rank, players will now find a Rank 2 Battledia in Aelio, and Rank 3 versions of 3 urgent quests in Aelio.
The update will also add several new features to the game. Of course, there’s a new mission pass. Full details on that are available in the video. A new Mag jukebox feature has been added that allows players to use music disks with their Mags and change the background music. For those that like to party, a party boost that provides extra XP, meseta, and an increased rare drop rate is being added. The benefits of this boost are based on the number of people in a party, so take plenty of friends.
For those that like to show off a bit, an ARKS ID feature has been added. This allows players to show off what kind of ARKS they are and includes the ability to create an original title by combining three title names.
On the more technical side of things, players can now accept urgent quests across regions. This means they no longer have to travel to a region to accept a quest. And finally, NVIDIA DLSS support (as previously announced) and AMD FSR 1.0 support will be available with this update.
