Phantasy Star Online 2 Dec 2025 Headline

Sega hosted the last NGS Headline WAVE broadcast of 2025 yesterday, and it seems they’re planning a fairly packed calendar for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis players in January. As was detailed on the stream, players of the free-to-play action RPG have events kicking off right out of the gate, with the second half of the Super Genesis Festival ‘25 seasonal event on January 1. Central City will be very festive for the New Year. Region mags and Rappies will be spreading festive cheer. And even the Navigator will be getting in on the action. Of course, there are goodies to be had as well.

Not even a full week later, on January 7, both the Altered Battle Line: Tundra Area Gorge and Drill: Luther, Emergent created Conqueror activities will kick off. The Altered Battle Line will be added to Alter Realm Exploration: Combat Sectors. These require players to activate PSE Bursts to take down High Enemies. Altered Battle Line: Tundra Area Gorge adds new Trials such as the Arklan Disruption Zone and Enemy Suppression. During these Trials, objects that can be useful but can also damage the player will spawn. It’s up to players to figure out how to use them to their advantage.

The new Drill: Luther, Emergent Created Conqueror, is a new Trigger Quest version of the Urgent Quest players are already familiar with. Players will need to head to the N-Meseta Treasure Shop to acquire the Quest Triggers needed to accept the quest.

Another Drill: Three-Way Race is being introduced on January 21. This is a limited-time quest featuring three lanes. Players will be split between these lanes and must progress through them. Up to twelve players can participate. As players progress, they’ll need to defeat enemies in their lane, which will help lower the health of the boss in the final area.
