Want A Better Framerate in PSO2: New Genesis? You're Going To Need An Nvidia Card For That
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis's Next Update Adds Nvidia DLSS Support
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis players who also happen to own one of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX series of cards will be happy to know that the DLSS functionality they paid for is going to get some use. When the game’s next update hits on February 2, DLSS support will kick in and players with supported cards will be able to play the game at a higher frame rate while maintaining image quality. Unfortunately, this feature is only available for those with the cards mentioned, so everyone else will have to continue on as usual.
DLSS, or Deep Learning Super Sampling, is AI tech that increases graphic performance. This is done with AI processors on RTX cards and uses a “deep learning neural network” in order to achieve frame rate boosts while keeping images clear. If you have an Nvidia card but aren’t sure if it supports DLSS or not, a list of supported cards can be found on the manufacturer’s site.
