Phantasy Star Online 2: NGS Headline Stream Reveals New Quest Type And Collaboration
The stream also teases a Rurouni Kenshin collaboration for April
New quests are coming to Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis in the March 6 update. These new Time Extension quests, revealed in today's NGS Headline, are being added in response to players who have requested high-difficulty content with a bit of a practice mode. During these quests, players fight waves of enemies with the time limit being extended each time a target is killed. To help players and create some variation in play, Photo Boost Crates will appear to provide players with different buffs.
As noted, these quests are designed to allow players to practice. This is done by having a normal and hard mode. Normal mode lasts for six waves while hard keeps going. The quests will be adjusted based on player reception. There will be four new quests included in the March update – in Retem and Kvaris.
Of course, Headline also teased several Scratch Tickets. One of these is a crossover with Idola Phantasy Star Saga that will allow players to dress up as the characters. It will also offer outfits inspired by Vtuber Popona. Another crossover taking place in April was teased as well – this one bringing Rurouni Kenshin to the MMORPG.
