Phantasy Star Online 2: NGS Looks Into The New Year In The Latest Headline Stream

The last NGS Headline stream of 2024 rolled out today, providing players of Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis a peek at what’s coming to the MMORPG in 2025. Of course, 2024 isn’t over yet, so the first order of business is going to be celebrating the new year. With that in mind, the stream provides information on Part 2 of The Super Genesis Festival ‘24, during which Central City will be decked out and mid-winter outfits will be available in exchange for Seasonal Points. As expected, there will also be a related SG Scratch Ticket. Players will receive 10 of these tickets a day during the event.

The devs have also created three New Year-specific Scratch Tickets. These are the New Year’s Remix Line ‘25, the NY Rewind Collection ‘25, and the Revival AC Scratch Tickets. The first offers remixes of previous outfits. The second will include items released in previous January tickets. The last brings back PSO2-specific items from previous tickets.

On January 8, players will be able to team up and fight Giant Mutant enemies in the Stia Outskirts as part of a limited-time quest. At the same time, the drop rate for activities will increase to 250%. January 15 will see players taking on a solo quest to fight the Ruinius boss enemy Ruine Masquerader. The quest features 10 ranks, with each unlocking after the one before has been completed. Completing Rank 10 will earn players an exclusive item as well as other benefits.
