PlanetSide 2 Pushes Escalation Update Back One Week, To Feb. 26
It looks like you'll have to wait a little longer to rain down death from above in PlanetSide 2. The team at Rogue Planet Games announced on Friday that the big Escalation update, scheduled to hit live servers this Wednesday, Feb. 19, would be delayed an additional week, to the 26th.
The dev team plans to use the extra week to incorporate player feedback from the public test server while "fixing bugs and continuing to refine and polish" the update, according to an update from Executive Producer Andy Sites. Escalation brings a number of new features to the game, most notably the giant Bastion Fleet Carriers and other "war assets" that outfits can call into play that are sure to tip the scales of battle.
We'll have more later this in an interview with Sites, where he talks about the "expansion-level" features that Escalation brings to PlanetSide, so if you're bummed about the update being delayed, at least you have that to look forward to!
