PSO2 Teams Up With Persona As Player Count Passes 1 Million Mark

It's time for another exciting Phantasy Star Online 2 crossover event. Or at least they're exciting if the crossover is with an IP you're interested in. That said, this one should make a lot of people happy, because PSO2 is getting some Persona love.

Beginning today, everything from hair and costumes to music from Persona 3, 4, and 5 will be featured in the AC Scratch Ticket collection. There will also be a few of the obligatory live events. With these new items, players can dress their ARKS operative up as a member of S.E.E.S, the Investigation Team, or the Phantom Thieves.

In addition to the Persona event, Sega is also celebrating a milestone for the game. PSO2's player count has crossed the one million mark (across all platforms). In honor of the milestone, a special celebration will be taking place between August 19 and August 26. During this time, XP, Rare Drop, and Rare Enemy Spawn rates will be increased. Players will also be given the opportunity to receive up to 2 million EXP through tickets. And... Those who log in for more than five days during the event period will be entered to win a selection of items. (The press release does not specify if this needs to be days in a row, but considering the event is only scheduled to last 8 days, you'll probably want to just go ahead and take care of it up front.)
