GamesCampus announced today that their transfer of RF Online characters would begin. The move comes after RF Online received a new home at GamesCampus and bid farewell to CCR its previous publisher.

Players can sign up now for a GamesCampus account at, and starting August 31st players can transfer their accounts from the former host to the GamesCampus network.

The official service wont be available till September 6th, but GamesCampus will be bringing a new content update -one never seen by English audiences- shortly after the service transfer.

If you are new to RF Online you can join in on their new server Excelsior which will only take new accounts. This will allow players a chance to compete with and against similar leveled friends and foes without worrying about being at a disadvantage.

Its nice to see RF Online being picked up and updated once more. While not an explosively popular Free-to-Play title, RF Online did garner a somewhat large cult following for a while.

Will you be giving RF Online another try? Let us know!

  1. Just wandered in here today. I miss RF Online, I really loved that game. I am a longtime WoW, DAoC, and active FFXIV player longing for the early days of RF Online. RIP

  2. Game is really good, though after level 45… damn long =.=…
Lost my pin xD and couldn’t get it back .. so can’t play it even if i transfer ^^ but generally good game

    • Wait… you are not gonna go “First!” ? You are weird.

The game would need a lot more that a new publisher and a new patch to get me to pick it up.

At the moment i am beta testing: FireFall, Smite, Path of Exile, RaiderZ, Warface and PlanetSide 2

And also doing Dark Souls. Damn that game hates me… and i love it.

        • I get around 3-4 hours of game time per day, not really adequate for playing all of those but i like to stretch out my focus on multiple things. I like games that get me involved, force me to plan and organize or at least test out my reflexes. Games like RF does neither.

And Path of Exiles is seriously an awesome game. Probably the best on the list. People could make those youtube “Reaction” videos for when people see the talent tree for the first time.

          • I’ve been playing a bit of path of exile and i must say that the melee combat sucks big time. It’s really hard to click on the mobs all the time and the melee skills miss 80% of the time(especially that goddamn frozen hammer or wut).I played the started edition of diablo 3 and oh boy i enjoyed it’s combat so much more

          • I did notice that some melee skills are misaligned i think, not by much but coupled with a low ping it could be frustrating, it’s not a hit percentage but an actual bug. You have to remember that it is closed beta after all. It’s not with all skills, just some melee.

As for Diablo 3, i never really hated the game. But it does not deserve the hype and money that it is asking for, not with Path of Exile, Torchlight 2 and Grim Dawn around the corner.

So much money and greed is leaking out of every Diablo 3 pore that paying for it would feel like bending over. It is not what games should be about. It is not what Diablo 1 was about and it is not what Path of Exiles is about.
