Rocket League Introduces Dueling Arcade Playlist So More Popular Game Modes Stick Around
Although your favorite one won't be permanent, it'll be available longer.
Rocket League has introduced the Dueling Arcade Playlist system in response to community feedback, aiming to allow players to maintain their favorite modes in the racing game for extended periods.
Acknowledging the desire for certain modes to remain permanently available, the developers say they’re trying to balance the number of active modes to ensure quality matches and reasonable matchmaking times. With this new system, two Arcade Playlists rotate through existing Extra Modes — wherein the most popular mode after a week remains available while the less popular one cycles out (promising its return at a later date).
Additionally, if both Extra Modes prove generally unpopular, they will be replaced with modes expected to excite the community more.
Season 13 Season Rush was announced too, as a precursor to the forthcoming Rocket League Season. It started yesterday and ends on March 4. Players are presented with 12 challenges that automatically level them up upon completion. Moreover, double XP is implemented for all online matches throughout the Season Rush.
And by the way, the end date for Season 13 has been extended to March 6.
