Rogue Company's New Executive Producer Says They Might Be Close To A Breakthrough On Server Issues
"I know that Year 2 has run up against some challenges."
Rogue Company hasn't had the smoothest go of things lately, something that new Executive Producer Dayle Flowers admitted to in today's producer's letter. "I know that Year 2 has run up against some challenges," Flowers started, before addressing some of the community's biggest concerns and what First Watch Games plans to do in the future.
Regarding last month's "Rambo, King Cobra" update, Flowers was quick to stress that the teams working on the PC game and the mobile game are wholly separate, and that Rambo didn't have anything to do with the quality of the mobile launch. In fact, despite the significant number of bugs that creep into each update, quality-of-life imperative Project Saint is still underway, which Flowers said was "worth it to address some long-standing requests you all have had."
Flowers then went on to address "the elephant in the room: server issues." Despite "thousands of tests," the team has yet to discover the reason behind these issues, but thanks to one unfortunate individual who has problems in every match, Flowers thinks that they're "finally getting close to understanding what is happening." To me, however, the answer is obvious: Get that elephant out of the server room.
