Rumor Has It There Could Be A Scream Game On The Way, Because Why Not?
That’s exciting news for horror fans.
Okay. Before we get started, let’s keep in mind that this is a rumor. Nothing has been announced or confirmed. While we’re not saying don’t get excited if it’s your thing, just wait until we find out one way or the other to go full-ham excited.
A rumor published on Twitter earlier this week by @thetipsterVG, and shared on Gamerant, indicates that a game based on the Scream movies is being developed. Interestingly, the tweet, which also mentions Supermassive Games as an ideal creator, states that The Tipster first heard of this back in May.
since it's being discussed online...
based on what i heard back in May there is indeed a game based on the Scream franchise in development. I never heard of a developer at the time but in all honesty Supermassive Games lines up pretty well. pic.twitter.com/5xycWfNhZH

It’s important to note that at this moment, we don’t have more information than what’s in the tweet and the Supermassive link is speculation on the part of the poster. TheTipster did start out the tweet with “since it’s being discussed online…”, which means there may be more information on a forum somewhere, but at the moment, all a search is showing are articles linking back to that tweet as the original source. This "discussion" could just be referencing the rumors that Ghostface Killer may be coming to Mortal Kombat 1.
