Sea Of Thieves Celebrates Its Community With The First Ever Community Day
The event is included as part of the game’s fifth season.
Sea of Thieves Season Five is starting soon and accompanying it will be the game’s first-ever community day. This event celebrates the game’s community with both in- and out-of-game events, rewards, and more. The whole thing is scheduled to take place on January 30, starting with a Twitter hashtag event that will determine the number of in-game rewards received by the players. Players need to tweet using #SeaOfThievesCommunityDay in order to boost the Community Emissary grade. Cumulative tweet totals have been set and every time players meet those, the in-game rewards will increase.
In-game, players will receive several gifts upon login, including emotes and an event-exclusive flag. The hope is that everyone will fly the flags for Community Day sessions. There will also be Twitch drops available to those who watch participating streamers. Just twenty minutes of viewing time will earn a player the Gilded Phoenix Tankard.
In addition, Rare plans on celebrating community leaders, awarding the Hat of Unfeasibility Glorious Fame to players who have stood out in particular ways – those who fit the “Be More Pirate” mantra. Players can nominate each other for this honor.
