Skate Season 1

Skate is introducing Season 1 on October 7, containing new events, challenges, and a premium progression system for the free-to-play sports game.

“Skate-O-Ween” is an in-game Halloween celebration running from October 21 to November 11 that transforms San Vansterdam into a haunted city with decorations, themed cosmetics, and event-specific rewards. After, the “7-Ply Maple Harvest” event begins on November 18 and runs until December 2, bringing its own autumn-themed festivities and unlockables. Players can explore new skateable areas like The Orb and The Skateway, both decked out with seasonal decorations.

Season 1 also introduces 40 new challenges split across daily, weekly, seasonal, and event categories, rewarding players with in-game currency and progression items. These tie directly into the new Skate. Pass, which comes in standard (free) and premium (paid) tiers. The pass features 82 levels — 38 free and 44 premium — unlocked with “Tix,” a currency earned by completing challenges, through daily bonuses, or by exchanging in-game money and items.

Also, 21 new songs are being added to the soundtrack, featuring artists such as Bad Religion, Dinosaur Jr., Jane’s Addiction, Sonic Youth, and Ice Cube, with more to be revealed. The update includes new brand partnerships as well, expanding the game’s cosmetic and gear lineup.
