Folks who are curious about Star Citizen, but perhaps have been leery of dropping cash on a game that’s been in production for a rather long time, can hop into space and try out eight of the most popular ships in the game. The ships were voted on by the current Star Citizen players who campaigned for their favorites by creating videos and art. The best of these creations were then archived by Cloud Imperium Games. Now, the eight ships will be narrowed down to the true fan favorite.
During this period, which ends on September 15, CIG is opening the game up to new players and offering them a chance to try out the eight ships currently in the running for the number one spot. At the same time, players who already own any of these ships can look forward to receiving special goodies – apparently for having good taste.
