Super Animal World Launch

Today, Pixile Studios dropped the biggest content in Super Animal Royale since the game launched. Titled “Super Animal World”, the expansion offers players of the already adorable battle-royale something different to do in between matches. Sure, you’re still queueing up for a chance to beat up friends and strangers, but that doesn’t mean you can’t hang out and relax in between the pummelings.

To that end, the update introduces a new social hub where players can chat with characters, pick up quests, do a little fishing, or bug catching. Even hamster ball racing is a thing. Speaking of hamsters, a new set of small animal species has been added to the game; these include Super Hamsters, Super Emus, and Super Chinchillas. Each of them has its own unlockable breeds available at level 20.

According to the devs, the social hub and related content were inspired by the game’s “wholesome and friendly” community. The idea was to make time in between matches as engaging as during them. Who knew that cozy was the way to go?
