Supporting Black Lives Matter Protests Leads Fortnite and PC Gaming Show To Postponements
Two of this week's game-related events have been pushed back in response to the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests. PC Gamer and Epic Games both recently announced the delay of the PC Gaming Show and Fortnite's upcoming update -- respectively.
In the case of the PC Gaming Show, PC Gamer has pushed it back to June 13th rather than hosting it on the 6th in order to "make space for those speaking out and demonstrating". The delay announcement also links to a previous article that offers information on the Black Lives Matter movement and the various organizations that those interested can donate to in order to help.
As for the Fortnite update, Epic is delaying it just a couple of days -- from June 15 to June 17 in order to "balance the Season 3 launch with time for the team to focus on themselves, their families, and their communities."
