TERA Update Introduces "Mythic" Gear Rarity, 5-Player Dungeons, And More
Today, En Masse Entertainment dropped Tera's Kaia's Anvil update on PC. The update introduces several new features to the game, including the Adventure Coin system, which is used to gain access to dungeons, and a new gear rarity level. As suggested by the title, the update's narrative focuses on Kaia the Shieldmaiden who seeks to protect the mortals and requires the help of players to do so. She'll send the players into the Exodor Archipelago where they will take on a five-player dungeon filled with all kinds of new enemies. It's in these dungeons that players will acquire the material to upgrade their gear to mythic status. They'll need to acquire a piece of the dead god Sikander's soul. A second five-player dungeon offers players the opportunity to challenge a powerful, ancient enemy.
In addition to the new dungeons and additional weapon level, the update also introduces a new daily cap on Adventure Coins and a four-week-long dungeon play event. The event ends on Tuesday, April 7. During this time, players will need to complete 28 runs (each) in four different dungeons -- Velik's Sanctuary, Velik's Sanctuary (Hard), Gossamer Vault, and Grotto of Lost Souls.
Of course, the update includes various tweaks, changes, and general fixes. These can be read about in the patch notes on the Tera site.
