TGS 2025: Bayonetta Comes To The First Descendant In A Crossover With Style
Gley players are going to be excited about this one.
I’m not the biggest fan of crossover events – typically because a lot of them just make no real sense in the game’s world. But sometimes, devs just really hit on something, and it feels like this might be one of those times. During the Tokyo Game Show, Nexon announced the next crossover event for its free-to-play shooter The First Descendant. I have to say, if any character from another game’s universe fits The First Descendant’s style, it’s gotta be Bayonetta.
The Bayonetta crossover event is scheduled to drop on all platforms on November 6, bringing the Umbra Witch’s style to the game. Specifically, players can expect a new look based on the popular character, including an exclusive weapon skin inspired by the ‘Scarborough Fair’ handguns. In addition to the look, the event will also include the ‘Witch Time’ mechanic, complete with bullet-time effects.
Players can look forward to a collection of Bayonetta-themed cosmetics. Among them is a full-body skin based on the character, weapon skins, makeup skins, and spawn/despawn effects. To celebrate the collaboration, a special stream is being held tomorrow, Friday, September 26, at 5:00 PM Pacific time. The stream will be live from the Tokyo Game Show and highlight not only the crossover content but also the October update. Players will also be able to get a look at the new ‘Sword’ weapon being introduced.
