The Day Before Tries Again To Impress In Series Of Interviews, But Falls Short As Usual
I'm just not buying it.
Oh boy. The Day Before is back in the news. You know, that post-apocalyptic shooter with the trademark dispute which got it pulled from Steam followed eventually by a very disappointing gameplay trailer that was released after several delays. Yeah, that one. This time they've released a series of articles over on the site WellPlayed (via MassivelyOP).
In one article, they talk about some of the things you can do in The Day Before, like going to the sauna. We've actually already seen the sauna before, but players can also seek employment in the game apparently. According to the article, jobs can vary from things like manual labor to musicians. Just what I always wanted in a shooter.
The next article says that the game will mainly focus on Player-vs-Player engagements. But wait a minute, I thought we were getting jobs?
Here we go. How about new gameplay footage? Well, how about 37 seconds of pre-rendered footage of a car driving around? Now you're hooked.
And of course, they reassure everyone that the Steam page will be back up soon and that The Day Before will be back atop the Wishlisted games on the platform. They feel confident that they will get the trademark to their name back, but really don't talk about it much.
You'll have to forgive me for rolling my eyes so far in the back of my head that I can see what little of my brain remains. With what we've seen so far from this game I have zero faith any of this will be pulled off with any sort of quality. I guess they can prove me wrong on November 10th. Provided of course there are no more delays.
Oh, look, another delay. In another article, they state that console has already been delayed until after the PC launch. I'm sure everything is fine here.
