The Elder Scrolls Online Offers Free Play On Consoles, Discounts On Expansions, And An ESO Direct Tease
Simultaneously, a guild event makes it easier to find friends to share adventures.
There's quite a bit going on in Tamriel in March. In addition to the new Fallen Banners DLC, The Elder Scrolls Online is kicking off a number of events, discounts, and even free play time for players on certain platforms. First up, the MMORPG is free to play on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles. This offer runs through March 20th and is limited to the base game, but that gives you plenty of time to explore if you've never played before. If you played in previous free events, you can even continue your progress. New accounts, however, will net 500 Crowns for use in the game's cash shop.
If you decide to buy the game or want to pick up the Gold Road expansion, there's some deep discounts running on just about every platform. Discounts are as high as 70% off for Gold Road and up to 90% off for the base game.
While you're adventuring, it's a bit easier to find guilds right now thanks to a new Guild Celebration event. This guild recruitment event coincides with the previously announced Guild Summit being held by the team.
Since 2025 will see ESO change from annual expansions to more "seasonal" content, we've all been very eager to see how things will work. The April ESO Direct is the show where we'll learn all of that. The show is now scheduled for April 10th. We'll see you there.
