The Elder Scrolls Online Update 39 Is Now Available On PC, With A Better New Player Experience
The update brings quality-of-life improvements players have been waiting for.
Today, Zenimax dropped a new base-game update for its MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online. Update 39 is available for free on PC and Mac as of today, bringing with it several improvements players have been waiting for.
Some of the updates focus on improving things for new players, reducing the rate at which quests are dumped on low-level characters, and introducing them over time as players level up. The idea is to make things a bit more relaxed. The devs have also revisited the navigator NPCs which can now let players know if they can transport players to a location for quests they are currently tracking.
Key item management has received some love and similar Crown Store items received from different sources can now be stacked together. Players just need to use the “Stack All Items” option. The update also makes it clearer which items can be sold.
For the PvPers, the update makes several improvements, such as improved death notifications and new rewards. On the other end of the spectrum, the home editor has been improved and players can now preview Crown Furnishings to see if they’ll fit in their home before buying them. Players can also now place items in their homes directly from inventories and collections.
If you’re on consoles, don’t worry. Update 39 will be made available to you on September 5.
