The First Descendant’s Next Update Adds A new Supermassive Receptor Dungeon, Ultimate Weapons, And More

A new The First Descendant livesteam hosted yesterday, offered players of the free-to-play shooter a look at the new content coming to the game in the Season 3 Episode 2 November update. The update continues the game’s story, picking up where it left off following the capture of Alpha. Now that Karel is currently interrogating Alpha, it’s up to players to head to Axion Plains and mount a rescue.
New story isn’t all that players can expect from the update. Other content includes a new Supermassive Receptor Dungeon with a Hard difficulty. The dungeon abides by Axion Plains access rules and can be entered using the Albion Terminal, via beacons, or using the World Map. Players will also meet the new Descendant, Harris in this update. Harris is able to use toxins that grant different effects in combat. New Ultimate Weapons are on the way as well, as are new Trigger Modules.
The livestream also offered players a look at the upcoming Bayonetta crossover event coming to the game. Between it’s launch on November 6 and when it ends on December 4, players will be able to complete daily missions to earn rewards. Other events will kick off on November 6 as well, including a seasonal event that featues main story elements and a special login event. The full stream, featuring all of the details can be viewed below. I would suggest grabbing a beverage and a snack, though. It’s clocking in at over three hours.
