Throne And Liberty Planning Major Updates Every 3-4 Months, With Small New Content And Events Arriving Monthly
When can you expect updates, what's coming later this year, and more discussed.
Throne and Liberty begins their head start access for those of you that purchased founder's packs tomorrow (you can pre-load right now), but ahead of that, the team is breaking down what you can expect from the MMORPG's October 1st full release and throughout the rest of 2024.
The big question facing Throne and Liberty after launch (besides reviews, of course) is their content cadence. With the game being out in Korea already, players get to see things ahead of them releasing in the Amazon Games supported version. Amazon plans to drop smaller new content and event patches each month, but they recognize that players like big content drops, too. Expect large content patches with zones, systems, and more coming every 3-4 months, with the 1st arriving in December according to current plans.
That said, there are some systems, like Tier 2 gear, the Rune system, and the Trait Resonance system, which will come later. Tier 2 gear won't come with the addition of 2-star dungeons like it did in Korea, and the Rune and Trait systems will not release simultaneously.
Other features are still being scoped out, but generally the team will push quality-of-life improvements as fast as they can and coordinate global content launches when possible.
Now, on to the plans for the rest of the year:
October - Not only will October feature the expected Halloween event, but it'll also see the addition of the Milestone System. That system is designed to unlock new content as server-wide objectives are completed and it has been sped up a little compared to the original Korean version. Guild battles and open-world bosses will also debut at launch. There's a full image showing the Milestone schedule that you should check out in the official post, it's a bit long to post here.
November - The month of Thanksgiving in the U.S. will primarily be focused on PvP and guilds. Areana Season 1 starts and the first Guild Siege PvP events take place. The Tax Delivery guild events will launch in this window, too.
December - As we move along the roadmap, the details get ptetty sparce, but the first major update is expected in December...however the team is staying quiet on its content for now.
Remember, head start launches tomorrow, September 26th, at about 1 PM EST, barring delays.
