Valve Calls On Dota 2 Players To Help Choose Community Made Sets For The Collector's Cache
If there's a set you want, you need to vote on it.
According to a recent post on Steam by Valve, the Dota 2 Community Workshop is pretty full thanks to the free-to-play MOBA's artist community. It seems they've been keeping themselves busy, and Valve has decided to clear out the warehouse a bit, as it were, by making some of the sets in the Workshop available to players. The problem is that they need to decide which sets.
Rather than just picking out sets from the Workshop themselves, the Dota 2 team has decided to let the players choose by voting on them. Between now and October 22, players can not only vote for the items they like the most, but also vote against the ones they'd rather not have using an upvote/downvote system. The sets that come out on top will be added to the game.
The post doesn't state how many of the sets will be made available or when. It seems likely they'll be rolled out over time as they're created and the team decides on appropriate ways to distribute them.
To vote, players need to click the Collector's Cache Voting button in the Dota 2 dashboard.
