It might still technically be in beta, but Wargaming is going full steam ahead with improvements and additions to World of Warships in 2017. There’s a lot planned, and today’s video dev blog should give captains a lot to get excited about in the coming year, including:
More branches for the “Queen of the Seas,” Great Britain. It also looks like France, currently represented by just a single premium Tier VI battleship, will get two new branches, and German destroyers will soon be prowling the seas. Overall, about 50 ships are planned for release in 2017.
Russian destroyers will be split into two branches, the larger “destroyer leaders” and the more stealthy artillery ships.
A “new type of armament,” apparently beyond main guns, torpedoes, and bombs.
More enhancements and additions to PvE cooperative modes, called “operations,” in which teams of seven players will participate in different stories.
For the audiophiles, music will be adjusted to fit the current state of battle, along with several ways to adjust in-game sounds to fit your personal preferences. Oh, and you can make your guns sound like lasers. Pew pew!
There’s much more in the works for World of Warships in 2017, so watch the video above or check out the post on the Warships site.
