Commanding one tank not enough for you? How about taking nine of them for a spin on the battlefield? That's the way of things in the new Commander Mode for World of Tanks: Mercenaries, which will bring RTS-style gameplay to Wargaming's classic title on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In Commander Mode, you'll be able to direct a platoon of nine armored vehicles against another player using simplified controls that challenge you to think more about your overall strategy, rather than just being one member of a team, as in a typical WoT battle. If you still want to team up with other players, you and four others can challenge a boss called the "Tanker" in PvE action.

Commander Mode is only active for a limited time: Nov. 30 to Dec. 9.

??? so they are going to put in a RTS style of play or make a new WOT game based on RTS? The same RTS theme they claim killed the carrier play in world of warships and not the fact they locked manually aiming until t6 (nothing like throwing new CV players to the wolves at T6).

I'm guessing consoles have a different gaming style.
