In Skate, there are multiple currencies that can be used for various in-game mechanics, such as opening loot boxes to gain new clothing, board customization items, and skatable objects, making new purchases from the in-game Skate Shop, or redeeming rewards from each new seasonal Battle Pass that comes and goes. However, as there are so many different currencies to keep track of in the game, knowing how to earn each of them as quickly and consistently as possible is important. To help point players understand the free-to-play sports game's currency system, we've provided everything you need to know about the fastest ways to farm each Skate currency in the guide below.

How to Farm Rip Chips in Skate. Skate. rip chips

In Skate, Rip Chips are a free currency that can be used to purchase loot boxes from the in-game Skate Shop. By accumulating Rip Score and leveling up the shops in each neighborhood, you will unlock more loot boxes, each of which contains a unique range of items. Loot boxes generally cost a couple to a few hundred Rip Chips each and will provide one random new item per loot box purchased.

Rip Chips can be earned in Skate by completing challenges across your map. Within each challenge, there will be a series of goals, each of which will provide a small number of Rip Chips upon completion. There are really no shortcuts to earning Rip Chips; you must simply play the game by completing as many challenge goals as possible to accumulate a steady amount. However, there are a couple of things that you can do to maximize the amount of Rip Chips you earn at a time.

Skate. map challenges

Every challenge goal that you complete will reward a small amount of Rip Chips once the timer hits zero, even if you do not complete the challenge. To earn as many Rip Chips as possible per challenge, you will want to try to clear all goals, which earns ‘Shut It Down’. Furthermore, you can also earn slightly more Rip Chips when playing with a friend/in a party, as co-op mode always offers one more challenge for players - ‘Every player completes the line’, or ‘Every player tricks on the spot’, etc. By completing challenges in repetition in co-op, you will farm Rip Chips as quickly as possible.

Furthermore, you can also earn bulk amounts of Rip Chips at a time by completing daily/weekly tasks. This means that even by logging in each day and completing your dailies, you will soon be able to see a steady amount of Rip Chips accumulating, ensuring you have a constant pile of cash to purchase loot boxes with. Once you complete all daily tasks or weekly tasks on the page, you can also claim a bonus reward, so this is a nice little bit of help, too.

How to Farm San Van Bucks in Skate. Skate. san van bucks

In Skate, San Van Bucks are a premium currency that can be used to purchase premium clothing and board decorations from the Skate Shop. However, this also makes them the most difficult currency to accumulate. The easiest way to obtain San Van Bucks is via in-game purchases from the Skate Shop with real currency. On occasion, San Van Bucks will also be given out to players as a freebie for certain events/celebrations or as an apology for maintenance/unexpected issues. However, San Van Bucks can also be obtained via the seasonal Skate Pass, making it the only consistent way to earn San Van Bucks without paying for them.

To unlock San Van Bucks in the Skate Pass, you will need to purchase them with Tix from the pages they are on. San Van Bucks usually cost upwards of 1000 Tix for a few of them. So, in order to unlock all San Van Bucks from the Skate Pass, you will want to continuously farm Tix. (See below.)

How to Farm Tix in Skate. Skate tix

In Skate, Tix are an in-game currency that is specifically tied to the Skate Pass. After accumulating a certain number of Tix, more pages of the Skate Pass will be unlocked. You can then use the Tix that you have accumulated to purchase individual items from each page of the Skate Pass.

During each season, a few challenges around the map will have Tix as the goal rewards rather than Rip Chips. Prioritize doing them ASAP to start accumulating and get a head start. Once you have completed your map challenges, Tix, just like Rip Chips, can be earned by completing daily, weekly, and seasonal tasks. The easiest way to farm Tix is by logging in to Skate. each day and completing all of your dailies to ensure you get the completion bonus, too. From there, you can chip away at your weekly and seasonal tasks by continuing the loop of dailies.

Skate. daily tasks

In addition to this, there is also a small bundle of Tix that you can grab from the in-game Skate Shop for free, once per day. If you’re looking to maximize your resources and farm as many Tix as possible in a shorter period of time, then claiming the daily freebie is crucial, as every few earned make all the difference.
