Aliens: Fireteam Elite Drops New QoL Update To Celebrate Alien Day
Yes, the game is still alive.
We don’t hear a whole lot about Aliens: Fireteam Elite these days, but that doesn’t mean it’s not still kicking. The average daily high seems to be somewhere around two to three hundred people over the past few days. Today, that number has doubled. That’s because Cold Iron Studios is celebrating Alien Day by dropping a quality-of-life update for the shooter.
If you’re wondering what Alien Day is, it runs on the same logic as Star Wars Day, except instead of the date being based on a phrase intended to wish people well, today’s date is chosen because the numerical designation for the moon Acheron – where the first Alien film takes place – is LV-426. So… 4/26 is Alien Day.
As for what’s included in this update, players will be happy to know that the in-game currency cap has been doubled to 100K. In addition, challenged card packs in SSGT Park’s show are now free to players. That should reduce some of the grind. It’s not a bad way to celebrate.
