Apex Legends Final Fantasy Collab 1

Today’s Ignite Mid-Season Patch for Apex Legends features a collaboration event with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth as well as balance updates, weapon changes, legend adjustments, map modifications, and updates to the mixtape rotation.

Balance updates include adjustments to the shooter's crafting rotation, with certain weapons like R-301 and Volt returning to the floor, while Hemlok and Alternator enter the crafting pool. Weapon tweaks involve reductions in tactical reload time and damage for Mastiff, R99, and CAR SMG.

Legends like Catalyst, Horizon, Newcastle, and Rampart see improvements and adjustments to abilities, audio cues, and balance. The Storm Point map undergoes changes with added cover, adjusted positions, and bug fixes at various locations.

Mixtape mode rotation includes changes in map availability for Control, Gun Run, and TDM modes. New legend voice lines on respawn, lower ratings rewards for assists in Control, and adjustments to world systems, like extended supply bins, are also part of the patch. The update addresses various bug fixes, improving player experience and resolving issues such as audio bugs, map glitches, and legend-specific problems.

In terms of quality of life improvements, code optimizations enhance frame rate stability on consoles, reduce DX12 video memory usage on PC, and improve graphics performance. Legend-specific improvements are made for Conduit, Mirage's Decoys, and Newcastle — providing better visibility, functionality, and additional voice lines.

Here's the full patch notes for your perusal.
