Archlord 2 Shutting Down

Twenty days ago, Archlord 2 had its last update...literally. Today, Webzen announced that the free to play MMORPG will be shutting down on November 24th, 2015. No official reason is given in the announcement, but a few "lifetime" stats regarding the game's playerbase are:

Over the course of its life, over 300,000 players have logged on to Archlord 2 for a combined total of over 5 million hours (that’s over 580 years!) of play-time.

Between now and shutdown, players can take advantage of 100% boosts to experience, gold drop rates, item drop rates, and fame gains. Guild versus Guild competitions and the El Dorado map will continue to operate on a timed schedule through November 24th.

Players may be eligible for a refund of the Wcoin they've purchased since April 1st, 2015 but you have to have spent over a certain threshold that isn't advertised. If you qualify, you'll receive an email detailing how to get your refund. Once refunded, Wcoin can be spent in other Webzen titles.
