Hearthstone's next expansion set has a release date, and Blizzard is going the extra mile to celebrate the launch and give players a chance at winning some loot. Forged in the Barrens goes live on March 30, but you'll have a whole week beforehand to take advantage of some contests to earn Mega Bundles and Twitch subscriptions by watching streams.

On March 22, 16 Hearthstone content creators will solicit the community for their theorycrafted decks and then reveal them during their streams starting at 9 a.m. Pacific on the 23rd. Each streamer will give away 10 Mega Bundle codes, good for 85 packs of the expansion and other loot, and Blizzard will also be gifting 100 subscriptions to the creators' various channels. You can submit your deck for consideration here.

The Hearthstone subreddit will give away 100 more Mega Bundle codes on the 24th, and 30 different Hearthstone creators will give away 10 codes each on the 25th and 26th, with Blizzard giving away more subscriptions to those channels on the 27th. (That's what it says in text anyway; the accompanying graphic labels the date of that last giveaway as the 29th.)

Finally, if you can attend one of the Fireside Gatherings -- virtually, of course -- from March 26-29, you can participate in two Brawls that will utilize Forged in the Barrens cards prior to the expansion's launch.

The weekend following the launch of the expansion, on April 2-4, Blizzard will provide "category-wide Twitch Drops," which will award packs for watching any Hearthstone stream, provided your Twitch and Battle.net accounts are linked.

For more on all the pre- and post-expansion festivities, check out the Blizzard site.
