Bungie Reveals “Year Of Prophecy” For Destiny 2, Beginning With The Edge Of Fate Expansion
This will be the first entry in the Fate Saga.
Earlier today, Bungie hosted a livestream offering Destiny 2 players a look at what’s to come over the next year, or what they’re calling the “Year of Prophecy”. The stream revealed the first entry in the Fate Saga, titled “The Edge of Fate”, and the mystery that it will ask players to solve. This expansion, and those to follow, will heavily feature the Nine.
The expansion, which is paid, will launch on July 15. Prior to that, players might want to jump into the update that dropped today, titled Rite of Nine, just to prepare for what’s to come.
When The Edge of Fate drops, it will begin with players getting an invitation to Kepler – no, not that one, another place with the same name, a little closer to home. This destination’s design is based on the F2P shooter’s dungeons with puzzles and other challenges intended to encourage exploration. It also boasts a significant amount of dark matter energy, which players can use to power their abilities.
The Edge of Fate is already available for pre-order, and Bungie is offering three different tiers as well as a physical CE. Those wanting more details on the upcoming content can watch the stream and trailer below.
