Century Age of Ashes Delay

So, what do you do when a highly anticipated game launch is delayed until the day after your launch? If you don’t immediately want to fight for player attention, you move your game. That’s exactly what Playwing has done with its upcoming multiplayer dragon game Century: Age of Ashes following the news that EA moved Battlefield 2042 to November 19, the day directly after Century was expected to launch.

Instead, the game will now launch on December 2, just to give it a little breathing room. The news came via Twitter, where the devs also used it as an opportunity to answer a burning question from players about whether progression achieved during closed beta 2 will be reset. It will. According to the post, the decision to reset progression is based on the improvements implemented following the test, including improvements to progression.

That said, players will get to keep the exclusive skin obtained during the beta tests and, to make up for the progression loss, the devs are offering players a “mystery chest”. The chest isn’t that big of a mystery and there are actually three based on the levels players achieved during the test. These are as follows:

Level 1 to 4

  • 1-day XP Booster
  • 3000 Gold
  • 2 Random hero titles
  • 1 Random Common armor item
  • 1 Random Rare or Epic Dragon skin

Level 5 to 9

  • 1-day XP Booster
  • 4000 Gold
  • 4 Random hero titles
  • 1 Random Rare armor item
  • 1 Random Rare or Epic Dragon skin

Level 10 and above

  • 3-day XP Booster
  • 5000 Gold
  • 6 Random hero titles
  • 2 Random Epic Armor items
  • 1 Random Epic Dragon skin
