Christmas Blows Up During World Of Tanks Holiday Ops Event
It’s time to check out the Winter Raid mode.
Today, Wargaming kicked off the Holiday Ops event in World of Tanks. The event, which runs from now until January 13, features action star Jason Statham, who recently appeared in the live-action trailer. During the event, Statham can be found in the Headquarters, where he will dole out special assignments and battle missions.
Completing these missions will earn players a selection of rewards and allow them to recruit Statham as a tank commander. Another highly sought-after reward is the British Steel 3D style for the Tier X medium Centurion Action X tank.
The event also introduces a new mode to the war strategy game that transforms the battlefield into a holiday-themed arena inspired by a game board. The Winter Raid pits three teams of five against each other in a match where they will need to collect gifts using paper tanks. Taking part in the mode earns players Gift Coins used to unlock a selection of items.
