Conquerors Of The Atlas, Metamorph Challenge League, Now Live For Path Of Exile
Path of Exile's final expansion for 2019 is upon us. Conquerors of the Atlas is now live, bringing with it a new challenge league, major updates to the Atlas of Worlds, and more.
Conquerors of the Atlas tells the story of the Exiles who defeated the Elder, only to become trapped in the Atlas of Worlds and continuously do battle against its denizens to accumulate more and more power -- not unlike actual PoE endgame players. They went insane and are on the verge of breaking free of the Atlas to spread their malice across all of Wraeclast, so it's up to the players to go in and deal with them before they become unstoppable.
The expansion also adds the Metamorph Challenge League, which has players combining monster essences into a Frankenstein-like chimera that they can then defeat for special rewards. Grinding Gear Games calls it a "Build-a-Boss Workshop," but we're betting you wouldn't want to bring your toddler to the lab. To commemorate the launch of the league, GGG is teaming with streamer Zizaran to host the Awakener Kill Challenge Event, with up to $30,000 in prizes.
Conquerors of the Atlas also offers massive changes to bow skills, new item influence types, and new awakened support gems. For more on the expansion, check out the Path of Exile site.
