Cryptic Announces Partnership With Non-Profit Organization Gameheads
Star Trek Online and Neverwinter developer Cryptic Studios are partnering with Gameheads, a non-profit organization based out of Oakland dedicated to preparing kids with generally limited resources to join tech and video game industries. To do this, Gameheads uses video game design, development, and DevOps to work with kids, teaching them to code, design, manage projects, and more.
Cryptic will be working with Gameheads to ensure students have more access to real-world industry experience as well as mentorship. Volunteers from he company will organize discussion panels and more to help provide Gameheads' students with knowledge of their intended fields, including environment art, and level or narrative design. Cryptic has also made a donation to both Gameheads and the NAACP as part of their commitment to the project.
