New Dauntless Behemoth Is A "Mechanized, Avian Monstrosity" Phaelanx
Today's update also has a new omnicell that reduces ability cooldowns.
Dauntless has another big bad Behemoth for Slayers to take on in today's Update 1.7.4: the Phaelanx. This "mechanized, avian monstrosity" is labeled as an "affront against nature" and can be found in the Blazeworks in the Hunting Grounds.
You'll have to do some work to get the big robot chicken in the open though, which is accomplished by slaying enough of the island's Behemoths to become Energized so you can activate the machinery to confront it in its foundry home. Take down the Phaelanx enough times and you'll be able to craft unique weapons and armor from its spare parts.
The update also adds a new omnicell, which grants the Omnisurge perk. This reduces the cooldown of omnicell abilities and the cooldown of your lantern. There's also a new quest line, First Blood, that can be started by talking to Admiral Janek Zal in Ramsgate and will reward Slayers with the Scorchwing Reborn chest and Scorchwing Visionary helmet rumours.
