DayZ Update Brings Changes to NWAF And The Sky Is Much Prettier, Too
Two words for you: field shovel!
Today, Bohemia Interactive dropped a big update for the zombie survival game DayZ on Steam. Several changes have been made to Vybor Air Base on Chernarus (or NWAF) in Update 1.23. The update introduced new points of interest and restored the high-risk, high-reward feel of the location.
The update also introduced a visual upgrade of the night skies. Clouds are more defined, the transition between day and night is smoother, and the skies of Chernarus and Livonia are different from one another. Basically, it’s prettier.
As is to be expected of any update, items have been added, including the legendary DMR from the Arma 2 DayZ mod. This weapon is used by the US Marine Corps and shoots .308. It also works with most Western sights.
A field shovel has been added. It’s a more compact version of a regular shovel, so if you’re wanting something less bulky to carry around, now’s your time.
