Aeria Games has released a new trailer which spotlights eight of the MMO’s classes. The classes seem to be your standard run-of-the-mill archetypes, ranging from the tank oriented Guardian to the supportive Bard.

Interestingly, mages have been broken up into two separate classes, the shadow magic Sorcerer and the elemental Wizard. A final range class has yet to be announced, but perhaps it could be the MMO’s only pet class. Since classes are tied to weapon types, upon reaching level 40, players can opt to choose a secondary weapon. By doing so players can learn other class’s skills. According to Aeria, weapon skills from separate classes can then be comboed together to open up access to a wider range of unique abilities.

Players may choose to further modify their abilities through Ultimate Skills which can modify a character’s existing abilities to add utility such as a stun or a damage over time effect. Beta signups are currently open on the official site.

“Interestingly, mages have been broken up into two separate classes, the shadow magic Sorcerer and the elemental Wizard.”

It’s been done. Trickster Online did it with Sheep(Librarian)~>Bard having elemental magic while Dragon(Shaman)~>Magician having light and darkness.

no heal classes? Or is the bard a heal class? Either way looks like lots of dps and very little of anything else. Another bomb.

    • Alucard on November 3, 2013

Bard is a healing class, but they call them support instead.

Looks like they went the Eden Eternal route and made Bard a healer class while shafting Cleric entirely.

This one might be fun to waste some time in. Not something I plan on playing for an extended period of time since everything that comes out of AeriaGames is pay2win.

I’ll give it a try I wonder when it’ll come out or if it will even be popular.

I’ll give a try, hoping that the classes aren’t gender-based

    • ASDF on November 2, 2013

True, by the trailer the first thing I saw was the gender-based classes

      • MasterofXD on November 2, 2013

Thank god. I might try this one. Lately I try not to play non-twitch based battle games but I really enjoy the skill animations in this game XD.

wizard and sorcerer should be opposites. if you’re gonna use both sorc and wizard then use them right. It’s stupid to see a sorcerer (that has innate magic abilities) use a book and a wizard (that learns magic from books and scrolls) use a staff.. logic = 0

yeah, waste your life away so you can regret it later 🙂

      • pipit on November 3, 2013

I think he played long enough and will never going to regret it, I don’t think playing games is a waste of time when you yourself think its worth it at least. People have different values and if you don’t think its worth your time then it doesn’t mean that its not worth other peoples time. I’m living my life with games proudly and never regretted it 😀

I don’t really like most of the so called “best potential” games out there, the ones I want should be “Anime”, “RPG” or “Strategy” and most games doesn’t meet my criteria so this one should be good for me.
