Destiny 2 Is Brining A Wide Range Of Changes To Exotics And Adding More Anti-Champion Mods
Lots to unpack in This Week at Bungie.
During almost every "This Week At Bungie," there is a section where weapons are fixed or Exotics are reworked. This week, the trend continues, but on a much grander scale. With Destiny 2’s Season 18 only a few short weeks away, it is time to bring in some long-awaited changes to the weapons of the game.
First, let’s start with the weapons that have been updated with anti-Champion functionality. This will allow more options for each Champion type, split across weapon slot and ammo type.
• Le Monarque - intrinsic Overload to Poison Arrows
• Thunderlord - intrinsic Overload
• Malfeasance - intrinsic Unstoppable to explosions
• Wish-ender- intrinsic Anti-Barrier
More changes are being made to a handful of Exotics like Legend of Acrius which now will grant a Trench Barrel perk on its Exotic Catalyst. This is great news considering the weapon has been falling behind when compared to other Heavy, short-ranged weapons.
In other news, three Exotics are receiving reworks, Lord of Wolves, Dead Man’s Tale, and Collective Obligation. Lord of Wolves has always been a super-powered weapon in PvP mode, that is, unless you're facing down its barrel. It is because of its powerful nature that the gun is getting a heavy nerf that will hopefully make things a bit more fair. To start, the gun's ammo has decreased in PvP from 15 to 10 and the team decreased the base damage by 20%. Dead Man’s Tale has been reworked into the fast-firing hip-fire weapon it was always meant to be as Cranial Spike no longer buffs damage vs. players, but instead grants increased reload, aim assist, and range per stack. Lastly, Collective Obligation has been updated to make the Exotic perk effects easier to activate and more effective in PvE.
