Free-To-Play Tactical Vehicle Shooter World Of Tanks: HEAT Launches Just About Everywhere
The World of Tanks IP now has its own hero shooter.

Wargaming has been teasing World of Tanks: HEAT for a little bit now, and the wait is finally over. Today, players can download the free-to-play tactical shooter on their platform of choice: PC (via the Wargaming Center and Steam), Steam Deck, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and NVIDIA GeForce Now. Apparently, it’s even playable on Linux, which does make a bit of sense considering it’s on Steam Deck.
For those unfamiliar with World of Tanks: HEAT, the game is set in an alternate post-WWII timeline. The world may have achieved great things in science and tech, but it seems it hasn’t been as successful when it comes to maintaining peace. That’s where the players come in, taking on the roles of one of eight Agents in 5v5 and 10v10 PvP matches.
Each Agent features its own unique skill set. Combine that with one of the game’s fifteen available vehicles, each supporting its own unique play and fully customizable, and you have the ability to create something that fits your playstyle.
At launch, the game features eight maps and four playable PvP modes. It’s been developed on a new engine built from the ground up, intended to offer players an even better experience. Players can download the game now on the platforms listed above.
