New World Accidentally Appears On PlayStation Store Ahead Of Their Summer Game Fest Announcement
That "big" June announcement that we all speculated was the MMORPG coming to console? Yeah, it totally is.
There's still a few answers to be had on this one, but New World is coming to PlayStation. It appears that the MMORPG had a "Sponsored" link show up briefly on the PlayStation Store. While the listing isn't up anymore, it likely spoiled what Amazon Games had planned for today's Summer Game Fest.

The image below was posted to reddit by user OMG_R3A11Y and, as you can imagine, has led to a fine selection of jokes about bugs in the replies.
Interestingly, we don't know EXACTLY what this is as the picture bears the name "New World: Aeternum". Obviously New World players recognize that as the land in which the game takes place, but the current PC version doesn't bear that subtitle.
It probably isn't an expansion, as the team said that wasn't coming this year. So is it just an updated name for the console launch? Will that launch include other systems? Is this a console specific version (less likely)? There's still some info I guess we'll HAVE to watch Summer Game Fest for later today.
I'll update this piece with the answer to those questions after the show.
