Final Fantasy XI Adds Hydras To Ambuscade With The Latest Update
Voracious Resurgence, Chapter 9, Part 2 is here.

Final Fantasy XI’s Voracious Resurgence storyline continues with the second part of Chapter 9. The game’s most recent update dropped adding a new quest line and a new area to explore. Players can now head to The Silver Knife after accepting a quest from the Glowing Hearth in Eastern Adoulin. (Note that to accept the new quest, players need to have completed Phantasmic Heroes.)
Accompanying the new content are several changes to Ambuscade. This means that enemies have been swapped out in both the normal and intense versions. Get ready to take down some hydras. Intense Amubscades have received tweaks to the Bozzetto Retributionist and the Bozetto Charger. The first can now resist multiple hits from Blood Pacts while Blood Weapon is active. The second has been adjusted so that it requires a certain number of status ailments to activate Grace of Hera. The number of status ailments depends on difficulty.
Normal Ambuscades have received a different set of changes. Alluttu’s HP has been nerfed by about 10%, items available for hallmarks have been switched out, level adjustments in King Ranperre’s Tomb have been nixed, and monster spawn locations have been adjusted.
The update also makes a selection of system changes and general fixes. These can be read about in the patch notes on the game’s site.
